I’ve put together some Spotify playlists covering some essential styles, as recommended listening for my drum students.

A beat is not a style. There is much more to it than that! A style is a sound and a feeling and you cannot write either of those things down. You cannot learn a style from a book. You can only learn a style by listening to the recordings!
